Chinese President Xi Jinping, accompanied by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodet, has addressed the opening ceremony of the building of a Memorial to the 6th National Congress of CPC.

President Xi described the Memorial as significant, and thanked President Putin and Russian friends for supporting the building. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Golodets says the Memorial will be a new symbol of friendship between China and Russia. The 6th National Congress of CPC was held in Moscow in 1928 due to the then political situation in China. The proposal for building the Memorial was raised by Xin Jinping when he visited Russia three year ago as China’s vice president.
